Working at Heights Training Day 2022

Sep 15, 2022 | Electrical, Event, Mechanical

Unanderra, NSW – Our Mechanical and Electrical Construction team members recently attended a group training day to re-certify accreditation for Working at Heights. It is important to us to provide the key training and skills to ensure our team’s safety.

A fall from any height can lead to significant injury, or in the worst cases death. With each of our technicians and tradespersons potentially being exposed to risks, the well-being of our employees is our number one priority at Triple i.

Certified under RIIWHS204E, the course provides the necessary training to work safely at heights and conforms to the Work Health and Safety Regulations (WHS). With both a theory and practical component the course includes:

  • WHS Act & Regulations
  • Working at Heights Regulations/PPE regulations
  • Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Hazard analysis & risk assessment
  • Fall Clearances
  • Work restraint and positioning systems
  • Fall arrest systems
  • Inspection and record-keeping procedures
  • The correct fitting of harnesses
  • The correct use of ladders
  • The correct and safe storage of equipment
  • Height Safety Rescue Plan

Our team are competent to work at heights across various industries, including the mining sector, construction industry, transport, and load shifting, ensuring they are prepared for any type of situation.

The training was performed by Accelerated Training, a registered training organisation (RTO 41474) located in Dapto. Accelerated Training specialises in Work, Health and Safety Training and Certifications. Visit their website to learn more about their services at www.acceleratedtraining.com.au.
