Triple i proudly supported Project Bucephalus as they returned home from the USA with serious hardware—winning the Championship Impact Award at the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships. This is the highest honour in the global program, recognising a team that’s not just great at building robots, but at making a real difference through STEM education, innovation, and community impact.

The team—made up of high-school students from Wollongong—competed against more than 600 teams from around the world. In front of 50,000 people, they were celebrated for their efforts in creating opportunities for under-represented groups and inspiring others through their work. It’s an incredible achievement, especially for a self-funded community team where 70% of students have a disability and 30% come from low-income backgrounds.

Now part of the FIRST Hall of Fame, they’re only the fourth team outside the US to win this award in 32 years.
As a company committed to innovation, education, and inclusivity in STEM, Triple i is honoured to have played a small part in helping this remarkable team reach the global stage. We’re inspired by what they’ve achieved—and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
