The Role

This is a position offering a qualified engineer with practical experience an excellent opportunity to expand their current skills and gain supervision and management skills to further develop their career.

We are in a position to engage a person with a wide range of experience and capability. Where the applicant has more advanced skills, more significant jobs will be assigned and renumeration adjusted. If the person can clearly demonstrate higher performance with industry experience, we can consider a lead engineer role.

Triple i distributes project responsibility to teams which generates an excellent environment to foster staff owning and delivering en neering outcomes.   A senior engineer may be providing expertise independently of any others in the company or maybe leading a project with several staff.

The Work

The features of the work include:

• Providing application solutions to our customers in hardware
• Defining control and automation functionality for these solutions
• Electrical Design – Low Voltage Distribution, Control Systems, and Instrumentation.
• Developing, testing, and commissioning of PLC, DCS, and, SCADA systems.
• Site technical installation supervision and commissioning.
• Customer support for fault-finding process improvements and small projects.
• Mentoring our trainees and less experienced staff through job processes.
• Supervising other staff to ensure the project KPIs are delivered.
• Maintain schedules for the work assigned.

The company promotes flexibility in hours and WFH is an integral part of the work routine.  The person will however need to supervise staff and liaise with customers, most of who are local.  As such they must be available to regularly attend our Illawarra-based office. Out-of-area travel will be required for meetings and commissioning.

The Employee

The successful candidate will have Australian residency and ideally be positioned in the Illawarra Region of NSW. We will consider other locations that align themselves with our business expansion if a candidate has the skills to support self-contained scopes both for our Illawarra staff, plus deliver engineering and site services in our non-local work.

The applicant needs to be able to prove skills to suit the coverage of the job needs. Short-listed applicants will have formal practical assessments.

The successful applicant must have:

• Hands-on familiarity with PLC/DCS with a disciplined approach to programming and validation. Allen Bradley ControlLogix and CitectSCADA, Yokogawa CentumVP, EcoStruxure™ Geo SCADA Expert experience is a distinct advantage.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. The substitution of technical qualifications with relative experience is acceptable.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Experience in owning and delivering project outcomes.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated a solid commitment to safety, quality, honesty, and work integrity.
• Demonstrated communication skills effectively in dealing with both customers and team members.
• Computer competency skills required to use Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
