Wollongong, NSW – We conducted a training day to empower our team to perform Low Voltage (LV) panel rescue procedures fully. Additionally, they now possess the skills to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in various situations.
Accredited Training
Participants earned accreditation in HLTAID009: Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and UETDRRF004: Perform rescue from a live LV panel. Due to the nature of our work, our team at Triple i needs this training. The combined LV and CPR training is vital for personnel engaged in live work or handling live switchboards.
The training took place on-site at our head office in Unanderra (Waverley Place). We involved individuals from various departments to ensure a broad range of cross-trained team members. From electrical construction to operational support, the training better equips our team for the unexpected, on and off-site.
Course Inclusions
The course included practical skills and knowledge, evaluating participants as competent in CPR according to Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. It also addressed rescue procedures from an LV apparatus.
The course outlined the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel, explaining how these requirements apply in transmission, distribution, or rail work functions. In doing so, it covered responsibilities for health, safety, and risk management processes at all operative levels. Most significantly, adherence to safety practices represents the standard when performing work.
