Wollongong, NSW –
As part of Triple i’s commitment to the environment, we continually seek green solutions to reduce our impact. From solar energy panels to electric vehicles (EVs), our practical green initiatives bring us one step towards achieving our long-term sustainability goals.
Our latest project saw the commissioning of a 39kW commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) system installed at our head office. Significantly, the site brings ample space for the new solar system with the promise of expansion in the future. For example, a similar size system in Sydney produces around 55,500 kWhs each year or 1000 kWhs a week on average. The production would include cloudy days, rainy days, and the like.
Managing Director Gary Harding was interested in pursuing the project to reduce the carbon footprint of his operations. Fitting with the company’s brand and vision, this is 69.75 tonnes of carbon annually. This is the equivalent of 398,571 computers or 1,585 passenger cars a year.
In conjunction, Triple i have introduced its first hybrid plug-in fleet vehicle. In the future, we will include more hybrid or fully electric vehicles where possible. Additionally, two EV charging stations are being installed on each site in Unanderra, which will be available for charging all stakeholder electric vehicles.
Our business plan focuses on sustainability and adapting to an ever-changing market to ensure Triple i operates for another 35 years.
