Triple i is a proud sponsor of Project Bucephalus FIRST Team #5985. We are thrilled to announce their recent accomplishments at the Silicon Valley Regional competition and FIRST World Championships in Texas.
During their three-week stint in the USA, the team from Wollongong participated in the highly competitive Silicon Valley Regional competition. The team held their own to finish forty-fifth in a roster of sixty teams, which included multiple former world champions. The team was awarded the prestigious Impact Award for their commitment to inspiring children engagement with STEM and careers. The Impact Award is the highest honour in the FIRST program.
Following their success at the regional competition, the team competed in the FIRST World Championships in Texas. While at the Championship, they were in a roster of seven hundred teams where they were named one of the six finalists for the Impact Award. They are one of the top six teams in the world for STEM education, outreach, and positive community change. This world-class effort earned them an official slot at next years Championships.
While at the FIRST World Championships, they ranked fifty-five out of eighty in the Galileo Division. It was lots of fun and a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the crew.
