What is ARDI-VE for Longwall?
ARDI-VE is a visualisation platform that takes your big data and uses it to create an interactive three-dimensional, virtual representation of your longwall mining operations.
ARDI-VE brings all your data together and allows you to choose how you view your longwall mining operations. With complete control of your view in space, time, and measurement, ARDI-VE makes it easier for you to understand the critical information and make the key decisions that impact on your processes.
ARDI-VE gives you the flexibility to view your longwall from any perspective. Not limited to camera view, data points across your wall provide information when you need it.
With live and historical data, you can review past events from any point in time, fast forwarding and viewing in slow motion to catch that critical bit if information.

UNDERSTANDING ARDI-ve
WHAT ARE VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS?
Virtual Environments are three-dimensional, virtual representations of your plant, and or equipment. They allow you to interact and explore your site, plant, or equipment, and learning more about it.
ARDI-VE is different to traditional virtual environments focusing on your assets and the data within them, instead of the outside architectural details.
WHO CAN USE ARDI-VE?
Due to the wide scope of capabilities, ARDI-VE is a valuable tool for any part of the organisation from operators and engineers to managers and support staff.
ARDI-VE can be utilised for training, locating assets, planning jobs, inspecting maintenance records, viewing asset properties, comparing status of equipment between times, and as a visual aid in meetings and, or presentations.
DO I NEED A VIRTUAL REALITY (VR) HEADSET OR SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT?
Virtual Reality (VR) headsets are not necessary, virtual environments can be viewed on Windows, Linux or MacOS devices which meet the minimum requirements of ARDI-VE.
We do, however, support StreamVR, so you can use VR hardware if you want. Hardware supported includes HTC Vive, Occulus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality and Valve Index.
HOW DO I UPDATE ARDI-VE WHEN OUR PLANT CHANGES?
ARDI-VE is designed to be user maintained, with a user-friendly interface you can drop new objects, and update properties to specific location, size, and rotation. You can also remove assets, change the appearance of your assets.
Our 3D model library has an ever-growing collection of assets and parts. Alternatively, you can upload a custom 3D rendering of your plant and equipment.
Supplier production models are not recommended as their large details can impact on the performance of ARDI-VE and in some cases shut it down. Its best to review models before uploading them. Contact us for any questions regarding 3d modelling and quotations.
